A Secret Garden
A secluded part of a large urban garden. The brief of this garden was to maintain the seclusion and tranquility of this part of the garden, and we did this by installing a deck to provide the base of a hot tub and the construction of three running water features and the importation of a number of large specimen trees. We did this to highlight the feeling of seclusion and therefore create a quiet oasis within a large urban garden that could get quite noisy.
Small Urban Garden
The design brief for this garden was to make it more usable as it was sloping away to the fence and also to make it lower maintenance and we did this by dividing the garden into two levels using timber sleepers and stone steps. We then introduced gravel areas and paved areas softened with lawn and planting.
Large Country Garden
This garden was designed with the surrounding views in mind and the inclusion of a number of practical purposes the client asked for. This included items such as vegetable beds and compost area. The client also asked that any materials used be in keeping with the house and local area which we did by using sandstone paving to match in with the house and locally sourced stone to build the dry stone wall.
